Total Modelling gives designers a wide range of techniques, and the ability to create innovative product designs quickly and easily, without the restrictions of conventional CAD software.
After a period when solid modelling was the dominant design philosophy, recent years have seen an increased recognition of the importance of surface modelling and an understanding of the benefits offered with triangle modeling. Delcam has combined all of these techniques with Total Modeling to combine the speed of solid modelling with the flexibility of surface and triangle modeling.
Total Modelling allows designers to easily move between the different types of modelling and quickly see the effect of individual changes on the overall design. The range of techniques also means that the required design can be completed without restrictions or compromises, regardless of whether the starting point is a new idea, a 2D sketch, an existing product, a CAD model, or even elements of all four types.
