The Roland MDX-50 is a professional benchtop CNC milling machine designed for precision prototyping, model making, product development and small-batch production. Combining automated operation with a rigid, accurate machining platform, the MDX-50 makes it easy to transform digital 3D designs into detailed, functional parts and prototypes.

With a generous 400 × 305 × 135 mm machining area, the MDX-50 can produce large single components or multiple smaller parts in a single setup. Its brushless DC spindle operates from 4,500 to 15,000 rpm, delivering the control required for detailed milling and smooth surface finishes.

Automatic Tool Changing

A key feature of the MDX-50 is its 5-station Automatic Tool Changer (ATC). The machine can automatically change milling tools during a job, reducing setup time and allowing multi-tool machining without manually stopping the machine. Automatic tool sensing also helps maintain consistent machining accuracy.

Become a 3D milling expert almost immediately with the MDX-50’s simple yet powerful built-in control panel and virtual control panel (VPanel), and bundled SRP Player CAM software that’s easy-to-use and simplifies operation. With the control panel at the front of the unit, almost all operations can be completed from the unit itself without having to go back to a PC. The VPanel interface operates seamlessly with the MDX-50 and allows users to make changes to spindle rotation or speed during operation.
